- effect of solvents on the electrospinning process of polymer solutions and morphology of the resulting fibers

- design, development, optimization and characterization of biodegradable and/or biocompatible scaffolds

- design of nanofiber-based scaffolds for (i) filtration, (ii) drug delivery systems, (iii) antimicrobial applications and (iv) cancer therapy.
