Specialisation

Colorimetry - color and appearance measurement, visual judgments and development of equations for color difference calculations, quality control, complex color appearance models.
Lighting Technology - evaluation of visual perception under various lighting conditions, description and measurement of lighting environment parameters for outdoor and indoor lighting systems, metrics for evaluating color rendition of light sources, visibility of people under reduced adaptive brightness.
Applied optics - development of optical methods for determining the quality of industrial products, UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy
Metrology - applied metrology, optical inspection systems.

Achieved education

1983-1987 studies at the Faculty of Textiles of the Technical University in Liberec (VŠST), finished with the state final examination in the field of Textile and Clothing Technology, thesis defence - Dipl. Eng.
1988-1990 study of the foundations of pedagogy at the university
2004 doctorate in Textile Material Engineering - FT TUL - Ph.D.
2005 habilitation at FT TUL, associate professor in Textile Material Engineering
2019 Appointment as professor in the field of Textile Technology and Materials Engineering
