ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT (KTT)

  • Research and development of new 2D and 3D textile structures (woven and knitted) in the field of clothing and technical textiles (including health care).
  • Modelling of the textile properties as well as the textile structures using computer-aided design.
  • Development of special experimental methods for analysis of textile properties as well as textile structure (microscopic cross-sections, image analysis, etc.).
  • Research and development of unconventional methods for evaluation of mass irregularity.
  • Modification and development of textile technologies for the processing of new materials with the possibility to increase the value of final product.
  • Development and production of the underlying textile structures for nanomaterial coating.

LABORATORIES OF THE DEPARTMENT (KTT)

  • LABORATORY OF TESTING AND ANALYSIS
    Analysis of the structures and properties of the yarns, 2D and 3D fabrics, special fibrous structures, etc. (see the description of the device on www.ktt.tul.cz).
  • LABORATORIES OF TEXTILE TECHNOLOGIES (spinning, weaving, knitting)
    Development and production of special and traditional textile structures, modification of textile structures to increase the value of the final product, etc. (see the description of the device on www.ktt.tul.cz).
