Defence of the PhD Thesis | Ft.Tul.cz

After passing the PhD Examination, a student submits to the Dean an application for the defence of the PhD Thesis. Defence of the PhD Thesis is governed by Article 23 of Study and Examination Regulations of TUL.

Instruction for Defence of PhD Thesis

• The student contacts the study department with the intention of submitting their dissertation.
• After filling in all the required information in the "Final Thesis" section, the student generates the title pages in the STAG system. The complete document (including the title pages) is uploaded to the STAG system.
• The student then fills in the "Application for Dissertation Defense" form and submits it to the Study Department for Doctoral Studies.
• In consultation with their supervisor, students submit a proposal for opponents of the thesis and a proposal for the composition of the committee in accordance with the Study and Examination Regulations.
• The student prepare soft copy of Summary of the PhD Thesis (Template) according to given template.
